Pamela Banks
Arts Patron and Institutional Leader
Pamela Banks has been a vibrant presence in Laguna Beach for over 30 years, leaving her mark on the art world both locally and beyond. An early visionary, she helped found the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles and played a pivotal role in establishing its first Curators Council. Her dedication to the arts continues through her service on the Laguna Art Museum Board, her long-standing involvement with the Pasadena Art Alliance, and her current role on the Board of Trustees at Laguna College of Art and Design.
Pamela's passion for art and curation extends across the country and overseas. She served on the board of the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock and has spent over 25 years successfully curating a private art collection for a prominent commercial family. Additionally, she co-founded L'Academie d'Arte in Arezzo, Italy, where her global influence in the art world continues to flourish.
A consummate collector, Pamela has an eye for beauty in many forms—antiques, silver, china, and ceramics, the latter of which was her first collecting passion. Her personal life is as rich as her professional one; she has a daughter, Billie Sundy Banks, who resides in New York City.
