Jennifer King is a Southern California based artist specializing in oil painting. Her work confronts themes of femininity and power in contemporary life. Her interest in painting had been passed down from her Norwegian great-grandmother who was self-taught. Jennifer received her BFA from California State University Fullerton and her MFA from Claremont Graduate University. Currently she balances working as an artist with teaching art part time at California State University Fullerton and Mt San Antonio College. She has experience curating art shows in Orange County and Los Angeles. In the summer of 2017, she had the honor of completing a residency at Los Angeles National Forest and San Gabriel Mountains National Monument Artist Residency.
