Working in the style of Imaginative Realism, Cody Jimenez constructs vivid, imagined universes

painted with lifelike precision. In these worlds, emotions take physical form, radiating vibrant

colors into their surroundings. This innovative approach allows Jimenez to delve into the

dualities of beauty and danger, offering a deeply personal exploration of his own life

experiences. Originally from New Mexico, Jimenez earned his MFA from the Laguna College of

Art and Design in 2017. Now residing in north Orange County, he continues to mentor aspiring

artists in the graduate program at LCAD and as faculty across different schools. His work has

been exhibited internationally, including Los Angeles, CA; Denver, CO; Baton Rouge, LA; Santa

Fe, NM; Dublin, Ireland; Amsterdam, Netherlands; and London, England.
